On December 8-11, 2023, the "8th the Pearl River International Gastrointestinal Cancer Academic Conference and the 7th Sun Yat sen University Digestive Endoscopy Forum" was held in Shenzhen Guangming Science City.

At the opening ceremony on December 9, the press conference of the Public Guide to Gastric Cancer Risk Management for Chinese Population (hereinafter referred to as the "Guide") was held grandly. The "Guidelines" organized and implemented by the Digestive Medicine Center of Zhongshan Seventh Hospital are the first national guidelines specifically aimed at the public for gastric cancer risk management in China, filling the gap in the current lack of evidence-based guidelines to guide the public in gastric cancer risk assessment and personalized prevention.

Hainan Province Digestive Endoscopy Academic Annual Conference

On December 16-17, the academic annual meeting of the Digestive Endoscopy Branch of Hainan Medical Association was held at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College in Haikou. This conference was held in the form of a combination of academic speeches and surgical operations, inviting experts in digestive endoscopy from both inside and outside the province to discuss hot topics such as the construction of digestive endoscopy discipline, technological innovation, and achievement transformation.
